Officers: Drunken woman with toddler in car crashes into tree, power box

LAKE COUNTY, Fla. — State troopers said a Lake County mother was heavily intoxicated when she crashed her car that had her 2-year-old child inside.

Katie Shrader was arrested after witnesses said she drove off a Lady Lake road Saturday night, rolled her car, hit a tree, and tried to drive off before hitting a power box.

Witnesses said Shrader tried to drive off again but didn't get far.

The baby was released to her grandparents after a visit to the hospital.
