OIA warns the public about items confiscated by TSA as the holiday travel season continues

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — The Transportation Security Administration is rounding up items that were confiscated at Orlando International Airport in 2022.

Some of the items taken by TSA include a bowling ball pin, an electric saw and a baseball.

TSA said the most popular item that it stopped was handguns, with more than 150 guns stopped at the airport this year.

TSA said it’s the highest number of handguns it has stopped in central Florida.

A spokesperson for OIA said that anyone caught with a handgun will be fined and could face time in prison.
