Two hospitalized after being shot near Central Florida Fairground

ORLANDO, Fla. — Two people are in the hospital after being shot near the Central Florida Fairgrounds early Saturday, the Orange County Sheriff's Office said.

The shooting occurred just before 1 a.m. near the 4900 block of West Colonial Drive, deputies said.

When deputies arrived on scene, they located one victim with a non-life threatening gunshot wound.

Another victim was located nearby with an injury to his hand, deputies said.  That victim’s girlfriend was also located nearby and was taken into custody.

Both victims were transported to the hospital in stable condition.

The investigation is ongoing.
