ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. - Orange County deputies are searching for a gunman who fired a shot that hit a teenager who was sitting on his porch in Pine Hills Tuesday afternoon.
The 17-year-old boy is recovering at Orlando Regional Medical Center.
Deputies said the teen was sitting with his friend in the back yard porch of his home on Ridge Pointe Drive when they heard a pop.
Soon after, the boy realized he had been shot.
Deputies said they believe the teen was hit by a stray bullet and was not targeted. The other teen was not injured.

Ray Sloan lives on the other side of a pond near the house where the teen was shot. He said he saw deputies search the area right after the shooting.
"An officer was walking right there looking on the ground. Maybe he was looking for a shell or something," Sloan said.
Investigators said the bullet might have come from a passing car.
"I do hear gunshot fire sometimes in the neighborhood.
It's kind of scary. A stray bullet flying could hit anyone, even the little kids on the street," resident Anthony Baker said.
The teen, whose name was not released, is in stable condition.
