APOPKA, Fla. — Forty guns were stolen from an Apopka gun store earlier this week, and investigators said the car involved in the burglary was later found in Pine Hills.
Investigators with the Bureau Of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives said a group of young men broke into Shoot Straight Gun Store in Apopka Tuesday night.
They said they crashed a car into a roll-up door at the gun store and then went inside and ransacked the place around 10:30 p.m.
Orange County Sheriff John Mina’s agency isn’t investigating the burglary case, but the sheriff’s office said it is working with other local and federal agencies to stop ongoing gang violence that’s plagued the community leaving young people dead or wounded.
