73-year-old man killed in Orange County crash, troopers say

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — A man died after losing control of his pickup truck and hitting a tree, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

The deadly crash happened in Orange County at 10:54 p.m. on Friday.

Troopers said a 73-year-old Orlando man was driving on Chuluota Road, south of Cypress Lake Glen, and for unknown reasons veered off the road, crossing both lanes and hitting a tree.

The driver was transported to the hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

According to troopers, the driver was not wearing his seatbelt at the time of the crash.
