New fund offered to help build up wealth of Black communities in Orlando

ORLANDO, Fla. — Big changes are coming to help Black communities in Orlando to innovate.

Multiple organizations, including Enterprising Black Orlando, announced the launch of the new EBO impact fund.

Over the years, certain policies and practices have prevented many Black Floridians from accessing capital and building wealth.

“This is so important, I can’t tell you what happens to a community that has leadership and wealth gaps that aren’t solved through some kind of equity strategy,” said Mark Brewer, CEO of the Central Florida Foundation.

The Enterprising Black Orlando initiative is looking to close the wealth gaps between Black and white Americans.
