ORLANDO, Fla. — Orange County health director Dr. Raul Pino is now back at work.

Pino was suspended in January for an email to his staff about a lack of vaccinations in the department.

After the email was sent, someone complained about access to information.

Florida Department of Health officials released a statement Friday afternoon that Pino was allowed to return from administrative leave after “a full administrative review that addressed compliance issues with department policy.”

FDOH officials said “a corrective action plan” was established by the department to address the issues that were raised.
“We will continue to work closely with Dr. Pino to ensure residents of Orange County are receiving the best health services from their county health department,” an FDOH spokesperson said.
