Organizers reach out to draw community in for early voting at Amway Center

ORLANDO, Fla. — Election Day is just 10 days away. And despite a high voter turnout across Orange County, voting advocates are not happy with the numbers so far at the Amway Center.

They are excited about the new voting location at the Amway, but they want to see more people come in to vote early.

All weekend, voting advocates are trying to use entertainment to draw people to an early voting location.

They worry the location isn’t drawing the crowds that community leaders hoped for when the Amway Center was announced, even though numbers are high.

The Amway Center has counted 6,145 voters in total.

With early voting up across the county, organizers are hoping that just means people are sticking to the places where they’re in the habit of voting.
