Random Acts of Kindness Day: Rollins College hosts campus-wide day of service

WINTER PARK, Fla. — Rollins College is encouraging its students and staff to go out of their way to make another person’s day a little bit better on Thursday.

The school will host its second annual Thaddeus & Polly Seymour Acts of Kindness Day, which coincides with the nationally recognized Random Acts of Kindness Day.

School officials said the campus-wide day of service and kindness is designed to celebrate the legacy of Rollins’ 12th president, Thaddeus Seymour, and his wife, Polly, with a variety of opportunities for members of the Rollins community to volunteer and give back.

In its inaugural year, more than 250 members of the Rollins community participated in a variety of service events.

On Thursday, students will do everything from packing 10,000 meals for families in the community, to participating in a local Habitat for Humanity Winter Park-Maitland build.
