Trump blasts Biden during return speech at CPAC in Orlando

ORLANDO, Fla. — Former President Donald Trump delivered his first major speech since leaving the White House on Jan. 20.

Trump rallied the crowd on Sunday during the final night of the Conservative Political Action Conference in Orlando. He also hinted at a run for president in 2024 in his speech.

The former president got a standing ovation from his supporters at the biggest annual Conservative convention.

As expected, Trump came out swinging against the Democrats and President Joe Biden.

For Trump, the Republican Party is still solidly behind him.

A CPAC straw poll put him in the first place, with Gov. Ron DeSantis coming in second.

CPAC also ran a second poll asking who would its attendees vote for if Trump didn’t run; in that poll, DeSantis came in first.

The poll, and Trump’s prime speaking slot, underscore what’s been evident all weekend that the Grand Old Party is still very much Trump’s party.
