Woman dies after being struck by car in Pine Hills, troopers say

ORLANDO, Fla. — A woman has died after she was hit by a car in Pine Hills early Saturday, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

The crash happened at around 3:15 p.m. on Pine Hills Road and Indian Hills Road.

Troopers said the 34-year-old Orlando woman was either walking or standing in the roadway when she was struck by a 31-year-old Oakland man driving a pickup truck.

A 69-year-old Orlando man driving a sedan struck the pickup truck after it became disabled after hitting the pedestrian, according to a report.

The victim was taken to a hospital where she was pronounced dead, and the driver of the sedan was taken to a hospital with minor injuries, troopers said.

Troopers said the crash remains under investigation.
