ORLANDO, Fla. — Coming off four straight wins in their last four games in the MLS regular season, Orlando City has set its sights on the U.S. Open Cup final this Wednesday against Sacramento Republic FC.
The Lions have momentum going into the game this week.
The team will have a full week to rest and recover after Sunday’s game against Miami was rescheduled.
They could use the rest after three last-minute, adrenaline-pumping wins against two division foes, Charlotte and NYCFC, and a Seattle Sounders team that has not been at their best this year.
Sacramento Republic FC still has a USL game to play against a top USL club in Louisville City on Saturday at 7:30 p.m. It will make for a shorter flight for the club after their game Saturday night.
The U.S. Open Cup final will be held at Exploria Stadium on Sept. 7. The game is sold out but you can find tickets on resale sites.
