Orlando nurse accused of molesting 14-year-old neighbor

ORLANDO, Fla. — An Orlando nurse is accused of molesting his 14-year-old neighbor, and investigators said they are searching for other potential victims.

Authorities said 56-year-old Pedro Abad took pictures of the victim, patted him on the behind, and then showed him pornography.

Police said the boy's mother called police, who then exchanged text messages with Abad, pretending to be the boy.

Neighbors WFTV spoke with said they didn't suspect anything odd was going on.

"Seems like a nice, regular person.  I did not expect it at all," said an unidentified neighbor.

Abad was charged with lewd and lascivious molestation, as well as showing obscene material to a minor.

State documents show Abad worked as a nurse alongside children at a local behavioral center.
