• Arrest made in Jimmy John's delivery driver shooting


    ORLANDO, Fla. - One of two gunmen involved in the shooting and robbery of a Jimmy John's delivery driver was arrested, according to police.

    Leroy Brown III, 17, was arrested just after 6 p.m. Wednesday, police said.

    The other culprit remains at large.

    According to police, the driver had just made a delivery in the City West apartment complex on South Kirkman Road at around 1 p.m on March 25 when two black males waved him down.

    Police said one of the men pointed a gun and the driver sped away in his car. As he drove away, a shot was fired at him. The driver drove to the front of the apartment complex.

    The driver suffered a non-life-threatening gunshot wound.

    Investigators said it appears that it was a robbery attempt.

    Police released a surveillance camera image of the two men suspected in the shooting.

    The image was taken at a nearby Walmart.

    Police ask anyone with information about the men in the photo, or the shooting to call Crimeline at 1-800-423-TIPS (8477).
