Orlando Science Center to host COVID-19 vaccine event, offer free tickets to visitors

ORLANDO, Fla. — The Orlando Science Center will be hosting a COVID-19 vaccine event later this month.

Health care workers from the Orange County office of the Florida Department of Health will be administering vaccines to those who are eligible for their first dose, second dose or a booster, including children ages 5 to 11.

The event will be held Saturday, Dec. 18 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The vaccines will be available on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Those who get a vaccine will receive a complimentary ticket for general admission that can be redeemed either later that day or on their next visit, the science center said.

The science center will host presentations on COVID-19 vaccines work and how mRNA vaccines are developed throughout the day.
