OSCEOLA COUNTY, Fla. — Some students in Osceola County are still waiting for their final report cards.
Students got out of school nearly six weeks ago and the new school year is set to start on Aug. 18. The district said it is still working to resolve the issue.
"This is a huge concern. She just wants her grades, she wants her GPA," parent Tracy Orender said.
Orender's daughter is one of many students who still haven't received a final report card.
WFTV learned a computer error at the district level delayed report cards at eight Osceola County high schools. Those waiting on their grades include recent high school graduates who have to send transcripts to their colleges.
"A computer glitch, that's fine. How do we go more than halfway through the summer and we dont have report cards yet" Orender said.
The district also explained that grades may be wrong on the report cards that some high school students received.
"We have no clue on which courses she's going to take," Orender said.
Officials said a new report card will be issued once the error is fixed and the grades are verified.
