Lanes of I-4 reopen after overturned car causes traffic woes

VOLUSIA COUNTY, Fla. — An overturned car blocked a lane of Interstate 4 eastbound in Volusia County during rush hour late Tuesday afternoon.

The accident had one of two lanes shut down at mile marker 124, between DeLand and Daytona.

Cars moved slowly past the accident and backed up on the eastbound side of the interstate.

Emergency crews arrived on the scene around 5:30 p.m.

Around 6:30 p.m. all lanes were clear and traffic was beginning to move at a normal pace.

There is no word on injuries.
