Oviedo man jailed on child pornography charges

SEMINOLE COUNTY, Fla. — A 41-year-old Oviedo man was arrested after agents said he had hundreds of pornographic videos of children on his computer.

Agents dressed in bulletproof gear arrested Charles Fisher at his home on Hunt Lane.

Fisher is charged with 10 counts of possession of child pornography and four counts of distribution of child pornography, according to the Florida Department of Law Enforcement.

According to a statement from FDLE, agents located several hundred pornographic videos of children on a computer in the home Fisher shared with roommates.

Agents said they also found a number of weapons in the home.

State investigators said they used undercover computer software that traces pornography downloads to identify Fisher.

Once undercover agents initiated contact with Fisher online, agents said he made a big mistake that officials believe will make it tough for him to beat the pending charges against him.

"Mr. Fisher actually provided undercover agents with child pornography," said Agent Jeff Duncan.

"Get the (expletive) out of my face," Fisher told Channel 9's Daralene Jones as he was being arrested.

Fisher is the second person in Seminole County to be arrested on child pornography-related charges in as many days.

Fisher was booked into the Seminole County Jail and is being held on a no-bond status.

Investigators said it could take days or weeks to fully analyze Fisher's computer at the crime lab.

Investigators said when they raided Alan Smith's Altamonte Springs apartment on Tuesday they found more than 1,000 pornographic images of children on his computer.

The Florida Department of Law Enforcement's Cyber High Tech Crimes Task Force has been in place since January, and agents said they're averaging one arrest a week.
