Storms continue into the evening, more rain moves in Thursday

ORLANDO, Fla. — Central Florida’s afternoon thunderstorms continue to ramp up.

9 p.m. Update:

Downpours stay on the radar past 10 p.m., then dissipate.

Storms will start back up as the seabreeze moves inland after 12 p.m. and bring mid/late afternoon storms along the Interstate 4 corridor on Thursday.

Next week, an even wetter pattern still appears likely through at least the first half of the week.

Central Florida’s afternoon thunderstorms continue to ramp up.

Chief meteorologist Tom Terry said the region is closing in on the start of its “wet season” during which thunderstorms will pass through the area most days of the long, summer months.

Those along the coast can expect to see another round of storms between 9 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. Wednesday.
