• Patrol car hit as deputy assists in SR-408 crash

    ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. - An Orange County deputy assisting in a crash on the 408 Expressway east was getting out of his marked patrol car when another driver struck his cruiser, officials said Monday.

    The crash happened near Conway Road.

    The deputy, whose name was not released, was taken to a hospital with minor injuries, officials said.

    Troopers said the investigation is ongoing.
