Pedestrian hit, killed on John Young Parkway

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — The Florida Highway Patrol said a pedestrian was fatallty struck on John Young Parkway Monday night, prompting troopers to shut down the road.

The crash happened on John Young Parkway at 39th Street, not far from the Orange County Jail, shortly before 9:30 p.m.

Troopers have closed John Young Parkway from 33rd Street to 39th Street while they investigate.

It's unclear what caused the crash and the victim hasn't been identified.
