Pedestrian struck, killed by motorcycle in Orlando

ORLANDO, Fla. — A pedestrian died after being hit by a motorcycle in Orlando Thursday night.

Florida Highway Patrol troopers said the pedestrian was struck on Goldenrod Road near Colonial Drive around 8 p.m.

The pedestrian was pronounced dead at Florida East Hospital.

The motorcyclist was taken to Winter Park Hospital, but no condition on the rider was released.

Troopers have not released the name of the pedestrian.

Troopers closed several lanes of Goldenrod Road while they investigated the accident.
