Pedestrian struck while crossing road in Orange County

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — Orange County deputies are investigating a crash involving a pedestrian on Oak Ridge and Winegard roads just before 10 p.m. Friday.

Witnesses said a young man was crossing the street when a taxi struck him.

They said he was then hit by another car.

Witnesses said people ran to help the victim.

“By the time I got out of the car people were already helping him so I just parked over there and tried to see if I could do something,” Troy Negron said. “He looked real bad. The first car tore him up enough and then he got hit by the next car."

Witnesses said the cab stopped after the accident.
