Pet Alliance of Greater Orlando issues ‘red alert,’ seeking donations

With unemployment rising some people are turning to the Pet Alliance of Greater Orlando to help feed their pets. And a photographer from Tampa is helping to fill that need as well.

ORLANDO, Fla. — With unemployment rising some people are turning to the Pet Alliance of Greater Orlando to help feed their pets. And a photographer from Tampa is helping to fill that need as well.

Adam and Mary Goldberg own AGold Photography. The husband and wife are making trips to Orlando to shoot what they call “Front Porch Family and Pet” photos. One hundred dollars from each session is donated directly to the Pet Alliance.

As for the food pantry, the Alliance says they normally only get a few requests a month but that number has gone up dramatically with dozens asking for assistance every week.

The Pet Alliance put out a “Red Alert” this week asking for donations. Drop-offs can be made at the Alliance or food can be ordered from any pet food website and shipped directly to the Pet Alliance.
