Pizza delivery man shot in face while working in Sumter County

SUMTER COUNTY, Fla. — A Sumter County pizza deliveryman is recovering after he was robbed and shot while on the job.

Deputies said two men in bandannas approached 46-year-old Jack Sickman near County Road 462 and County Road 235 Thursday morning.

Authorities said the men demanded cash, and when Sickman said no, they shot him in the face with a rifle.

Sickman was hospitalized in stable condition at Ocala Regional Hospital.
