PALM BAY, Fla. — A 16-year-old boy was charged with second-degree murder in connection with a shooting Sunday afternoon, the Palm Bay Police Department said.
Police said Kaiyam Sean Kelleman shot Jose Luis Reyes Jr. at about 2 p.m. They said Reyes then crashed into a home on Pelican Drive Northeast.
Reyes was taken to a nearby hospital in critical condition, and he later died, investigators said.
Investigators said they believe the shooting happened during a drug deal.
Kelleman is being held at the Brevard Juvenile Detention Center.
