Police: 2 Orlando stores caught selling synthetic marijuana

ORLANDO, Fla. — Orlando police and federal agents are cracking down on the sale of synthetic drugs.

Undercover investigators mainly focused on 99 Cent Store in Pine Hills Road, where they were able to buy the drugs.

Another store on Curry Ford Road was also visited by investigators.

Drug Enforcement Administration agents were at several stores Monday afternoon to bust employees for selling synthetic drugs.

Agents said 104 packets of the illegal drug was found at the 99 Cent Store.

An employee at the store was arrested, but the employee was not identified.

State agents and Orlando police found 796 packets of the drugs at a smoke shop on the 4000 block of Curry Ford Road.

No employee was arrested because agents said the cashier who sold it to them was not there, but there is a warrant out for his arrest.

No other information was released about the busts.
