• Police: Body pulled from Ocoee retention pond

    OCOEE, Fla. - The body of a man believed to be in his 20s was discovered Thursday afternoon in a retention pond, the Ocoee Police Department said.

    Police were called shortly before 2:15 p.m. to the pond near West Franklin Street and State Road 429, Ocoee police Lt. Scott Nylander said.

    Investigators said they pulled the fully clothed body from the water and saw no obvious signs of foul play.

    It's believed that the body had been in the pond for some time before police were called, Nylander said.

    The man's identity hasn't been released.

    The death remains under investigation.
