St. Cloud police find woman believed to have been abducted

ST. CLOUD, Fla. — St. Cloud police officers said they found a woman who they believed may have been abducted.

Police said an unidentified woman walked into the St. Cloud Hospital Emergency Room asking for help. She appeared to be in distress and was followed inside by an unidentified man, police said.

The man grabbed the woman by the wrist and said she was drunk, officers said.

Police said the man then pulled the woman out of the hospital to the parking area and into a beige or gray Nissan or Saturn SUV, with an unknown attached handicap tag, and driven by another unidentified woman.

A surveillance camera captured the man pulling the woman away.

Witnesses said the woman tried to exit the SUV as it was driving away, and that is when authorities were called.

Police said the man and the woman were in a relationship, and the woman had been intoxicated at the time of the incident. Police said the couple was at the hospital to seek treatment for an unknown medical issue, but the 30-year-old man decided that he did not want to seek treatment and attempted to leave with his girlfriend who wanted him to be seen.

Police said there was no foul play.  The case has been closed and changed to a suspicious incident.
