Police: Group asks man for ride, then leaves victim naked after robbing him

OSCEOLA COUNTY, Fla. — An Osceola County man's friendly favor turned into a terrifying ordeal when he was kidnapped, robbed, and stranded, by a group of people, police said.

Six Osceola County residents are facing kidnapping and robbery charges after robbing a man, who had given them a ride and then stealing his clothes on Saturday, police said.

Lindsey Saucedo, Rosa DeJesus, Stephen Batista, Frederick Rodriguez, Crystal Gonzalez and Abraham Buil all face charges in the case.

Osceola County deputies said the victim knew two of the six suspects. Investigators said that DeJesus and Saucedo asked the victim to give them and two of their friends a ride in Kissimmee.

The  Sheriff's Office said it wasn't long before Batista and Rodriguez pulled out weapons and demanded cash.

Investigators said the man's car ran out of gas.

"When the car ran out of gas, all those individuals started walking, but he did not feel as if he could get away. He felt very endangered," said Twis Lizasuain, spokeswoman for the Osceola County Sheriff's Office.

That's when, investigators said, the group called for a ride. Two more people showed up, and from there, the robbery continued, deputies said.

The suspects forced the victim to walk to two local banks to withdraw cash, deputies said.

"They did take him to two ATM machines, and he did make a withdrawal at one of the machines," said Lizasuain.

The thieves then stole the victim's clothes, leaving him naked as they fled, deputies said.

The victim was able to walk to a local gas station for help. He wasn't seriously injured, police said.

Initially, Saucedo and Dejesus denied luring the victim into a trap. They claimed that they too were victims, according to deputies.

But, investigators said, it soon became clear they were all involved. And now they all face charges of robbery, kidnapping and criminal conspiracy.
