Police make arrest in shooting of Winter Garden teen

WINTER GARDEN, Fla. — Police have made an arrest in the shooting of a Winter Garden teen from earlier this month.

Detectives identified 16-year-old Tony Maurice Madison as the person who opened fire on a group of teens near Zanders Park on Feb. 13.

One teen who was hit several times was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Investigators said Madison was a person of interest at the time of the shooting but had given them an alibi.

Police issued a warrant for Madison after discrediting his story and he was arrested on charges of attempted homicide Feb. 18.
