Police: Meth-making chemicals found in SUV at McDonald's parking lot

ST. CLOUD, Fla. — The St. Cloud Police Department was investigating an unrelated incident at the Florida Sunshine Inn on Georgia Avenue Friday, and while officers were at the scene, they said they noticed a suspicious vehicle in the parking lot of McDonald’s on Montana Avenue.

When officers made contact with the people who were with the car, officers said they found chemicals consistent with manufacturing methamphetamine.

"Its just crazy, you know, they just don't even care.  Meth is a killer. It's one of the most dangerous drugs out there. I don't understand why people would want to do that," said resident Justin Hide.

As a result, investigators from the Osceola County Investigative Bureau were called and removed the chemicals from the scene.

The people who were inside the SUV were not arrested. Their names were not released.
