Police said they found Chaves Sunday night at a Greyhound bus station on John Young Parkway.

"We put some plain clothes detectives down there," Ocoee police Lt. Mike Bryant said. "We wondered through the crowd. Sure enough, we saw him. We made the arrest. And (it) turns out he had a bus ticket (for a ride) that was leaving in 15 mins. So we got him just in time."

Police said the men had gotten into an argument before the stabbing.

Investigators said Chaves also faces theft charges because he stole the victim's van to drive away from the scene.

Officers did not provide a motive for the alleged stabbing.

Chaves is being held without bail.
