Police searching for convicted felon in attempted murder case

ALTAMONTE SPRINGS, Fla. — The Altamonte Springs Police Department is actively looking for an attempted homicide suspect.
 
Ellis Leon McCray, 23, is wanted on charges of attempted homicide and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
 
Police said McCray attempted to shoot his ex-girlfriend's boyfriend at her apartment complex on Orange Drive.
 
McCray fired multiple rounds while the victim was attempting to get in his car, according to police. The victim was not hit and McCray fled the scene before police arrived.
