Composite sketch released of teen who tried to rape Kissimmee women

KISSIMMEE, Fla. — Police have released a composite sketch of the teenager who attacked two women in the same apartment complex Monday afternoon.

Detectives with the Kissimmee Police Department told Channel 9 they believe the attacker is between 14 and 16 years old.

"We were able to get our witnesses and victims together this morning and sit with our sketch artist," said Stacie Miller, with Kissimmee police.

The incidents happened at 3 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. Monday in the Reef Club apartment complex on Reef Club Drive.

According to police, the teen first tried to sexually batter a woman in broad daylight.

"She was able to push past him and he fled," said Miller.

Around 4:30 p.m., police said the same teenager approached a woman and her daughter who were moving in and offered to help. The teen helped carry several boxes and other furnishings, until he locked the door behind himself and cornered the woman in the apartment, investigators said.

"She noticed that she was being barricaded and that's when she acted and tried to get out," said Miller.

An unidentified neighbor told WFTV she witnessed the victim fleeing from her apartment.

"She was yelling, 'Oh my God, oh my God,'" the neighbor said. "And she says, 'Somebody tried to rape me, somebody tried to rape me.'"

Neither woman was hurt during the attacks. Kissimmee police set up a perimeter and searched for the attacker, but he was not located.

Police patrolled the complex Tuesday and handed out flyers to residents about the attacks.

"We want to make sure we get in contact with him and we get him off the streets before he hurts someone," said Miller.

"I have a little sister, I have a mom, we have family and it's very scary," said resident Evilie Figueroa.

Anyone with information about the attacks is asked to contact the Kissimmee Police Department.
