Free pet adoptions, low-cost vaccinations offered at Polk County Pet Fest

POLK COUNTY, Fla. — Polk County Animal Control is preparing for its annual Pet Fest coming up on the first weekend in December.

The event, scheduled for Saturday, Dec. 4, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., at Polk County Animal Control located at 7115 De Castro Road in Winter Haven (just off the Polk Parkway Winter Lake Road exit).

Pet Fest will feature free pet adoptions, which include spaying/neutering, rabies vaccination, microchipping, and the county license.

For those who already have pets, TLC Petsnip will be offering low-cost vaccinations, while supplies last.

There will be vendors running food and drink trucks and selling pet-friendly products. Kids’ activities will include face painting, a balloon artist, pony rides, a petting zoo, and train rides.

Santa Claus will also be there for “Pets with Santa” photos.
