Missing Port Orange girl found in Pennsylvania, mother in custody

PORT ORANGE, Fla. — UPDATE 10/23 11:15 a.m.: Port Orange police said Lisa Santiago has turned herself in to law enforcement officials in Pennsylvania. Officers said her 5-year-old daughter, Jayliah Thompson, is now in the custody of child services.

Port Orange police are searching for a 5-year-old girl who has been missing since Monday afternoon.

Officers said Jayliah Marilis Thompson was last seen around 2:30 p.m. Monday, getting into a vehicle driven by her mother, Lisa Santiago.

Police said Jayliah is currently at the center of a custody dispute between her mother and father.

Santiago and Jayliah may be headed to Pennsylvania in a black passenger car, possibly a Kia, police said.
