The University of Central Florida’s highest-paid employee is not the school’s president — but he’s close.

The public university’s average pay for more than 7,752 employees with pay data available is $74,042

The data provided by the school does not include athletics department staff — who are part of a separate organization connected to the university — as well as 841 contract employees and student employees who are protected by the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act.
