Ramp closures will affect S.R. 528 drivers

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — Beginning Sunday, the Conway Road and Boggy Creek Road onramps to State Road 528 will be closed for the next four months.

Drivers coming from the Conway or Southport areas will be affected by the closures.

Conway area drivers won't be able to get onto S.R. 528  westbound toward Interstate 4. That ramp will be closed.  Those drivers should take McCoy road to get onto S.R.528 westbound toward the interstate.

For Southport area drivers who rely on the Boggy Creek Road ramp toward Orlando International Airport, that ramp will be closed as well.

Those drivers can take Boggy Creek Road to Jetport Drive and then take Tradeport Drive to get the S.R. 528.

In addition to the ramp closures, construction workers will also be reducing traffic down to two lanes in each direction the S.R. 528.

The work is part of a $3.8 million project, which is expected to be finished by the end of this year.
