• Running car starts house fire, man found dead

    CAPE CORAL, Fla. - Authorities say a man has died after a southwest Florida house fire that was likely started by a running vehicle in the garage.
     
    The News-Press reports that Cape Coral police found the man Tuesday inside the vehicle. Officials didn't immediately release the man's name but said they do not suspect foul play. The man's body was taken to the medical examiner's office.
     
    A neighbor who was walking her dog around noon said she saw smoke rising from the roof.
