Second Harvest partners with letter carriers to ‘Stamp out Hunger’

ORLANDO, Fla. — Just in time for summer break, Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida has teamed up with the National Association of Letter Carriers to collect nonperishable items to help stock shelves at food pantries across Central Florida.

The annual event aims to stamp out hunger and assist families in need during the summer break.

Every second Saturday in May, letter carriers in more than 10,000 cities and towns across America participate in the NALC Stamp Out Hunger National Food Drive.

On Saturday, postal carriers picked up donations on their routes, and Second Harvest volunteers were standing by to sort the food for distribution.
