The annual event aims to stamp out hunger and assist families in need during the summer break.

Every second Saturday in May, letter carriers in more than 10,000 cities and towns across America participate in the NALC Stamp Out Hunger National Food Drive.

On Saturday, postal carriers picked up donations on their routes, and Second Harvest volunteers were standing by to sort the food for distribution.
