Seminole County magnet school receives $45K donation to support STEM program

SEMINOLE COUNTY, Fla. — A Seminole County school is getting help giving its students an out-of-this-world education.

This week, the broadband services provider WOW! presented Goldsboro Elementary Magnet School with a $45,000 donation.

The money will be used to improve the technology at its Kids Space Center, which uses hands-on experiences to teach engineering, math, literacy and social studies.

Earlier this year, WOW! announced it would bring its high-speed network to communities in Orange and Seminole counties.

Officials said WOW! plans to invest at least $100 million and bring its services to 150,000 new homes in Central Florida.
