Seminole County Fire Rescue and the Sanford Fire Department worked together to put out the blaze.

“By the time we got out here the house was fully engulfed. Flames coming out of the front and rear,” said Jeff Detzel, a firefighter.

Firefighters said 33-year-old woman was home alone with the dogs when the fire started. Channel 9 reporter Q McCray found out the woman was a mother.

“This morning I was getting really emotional about it because I just saw the mother a week ago walking with her children,” said Melody Deet, a neighbor.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
