OSCEOLA COUNTY, Fla. — Brush fires burning across Central Florida have become a hazard for drivers.
A stretch of US Highway 441 in Osceola County will be closed completely overnight due to smoke from a brush fire near Mills Rd. in Kenansville.
Smoke from a separate fire burning near the Turnpike in Kenansville is also causing visibility problems for drivers, according to FHP. However, they’re simply advising drivers to use caution as the Turnpike remains open to traffic.
In Brevard County, troopers are monitoring visibility along I-95 near Grant Road where another brush fire is burning.
As with the Turnpike, I-95 has remained open, but Troopers say both could be closed if visibility conditions change.
