SpaceX pushes Flacon 9 launch to Wednesday after failed test flight

BREVARD COUNTY, Fla. — SpaceX hopes to launch its Falcon 9 rocket this week after a failed test flight.

A test rocket exploded in Texas after it detected an issue on board Friday.

SpaceX officials said they need time to identify possible issues before the Falcon 9 lifts off.

The rocket is expected to carry a satellite into space from Cape Canaveral Air Force Station Wednesday. The launch window opens at 12:50 a.m.
