CAPE CANAVERAL SFS, Fla. — SpaceX is scheduled to launch a Falcon-9 rocket from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station Tuesday afternoon.
Happening today: SpaceX launch could cause sonic booms
The Tansporter-2 mission will carry 88 small satellites as part of SpaceX’s SmallSat Rideshare Program.

After the launch, the Falcon 9 rocket booster will return to the Cape for a landing.

Residents and spectators in the area may hear the sonic boom as the booster lands on the pad.
