State restricts license of South Daytona doctor accused of groping patients

VOLUSIA COUNTY, Fla. — The state medical board has issued an emergency order to restrict a Volusia County doctor’s license amid multiple complaints he inappropriately touched female patients.

Under the restriction, he will no longer be allowed to see female patients.

Several women have filed complaints against Dr. Indravadan Shah alleging he made sexual advances and grabbed their breasts.

Police are calling one case an attempted rape and turned the case over to the the state attorney’s office.

The medical board looked at four complaints and found Shah abused the trust of patients, showed a lack of good judgment and a disregard for his ethical responsibilities.

The board is also launching new proceedings to see if more disciplinary action should be taken against Shah’s medical license.

WFTV has tried to talk to Shah at his office and his million dollar home since May, but he has not commented about the allegations.
