OSCEOLA COUNTY, Fla. — It’s still unclear Friday how a woman and a child died Thursday afternoon on the Florida Turnpike.
The medical examiner told Channel 9’s Jeff Levkulich the autopsies were completed Friday afternoon, but said it could be sometime before it’s released on how they died.
The white Porsche SUV drifted off the Turnpike near mile marker 224, Osceola County Sheriff’s Office said.
The vehicle had sustained minor damage when it hit a guardrail in the median.
A trooper and two Osceola County deputies were briefly hospitalized after being exposed to an unknown substance inside the vehicle while they investigated the crash.
The names of the victims or their relationship to one another is not being released at this time, deputies said.
