CENTRAL FLORIDA — College students will have to start paying more on their student loans.
Congress left for the Fourth of July holiday Friday without a solution to stop interest rates from doubling on student loans Monday.
Interest rates will go from 3.4 percent to 6.8 percent.
That would add about $3,000 to the interest $23,000 loan repaid over 10 years.
